Unlike other companies, we do not charge or have a Service Call fee.
No, we do not charge a Travelling Charge for repairs within our Service Area.
The Fixed Labour Rate (also referred to as Fixed Labour Fee) is our one-off, fixed labour fee for an oven and appliance repair.
The Fixed Labour Fee (also referred to as the Fixed Labour Charge, Fixed Labour Rate) for oven and appliance repairs provides security to the customer by eliminating the cost confusion when making a repair booking.
The labour is charged as a one-off fixed amount, regardless of how long the repair may take to the appliance. This allows customers to budget accordingly with no hidden surprises.
Please note:
- The Fixed Labour Rate:
- May vary according to the time and day of booking and type of appliance (e.g. gas or electric, oven or rangehood).
- Is only payable once. You do not pay it again if we need to return with a part to complete the oven or appliance repair.
- Does not include the cost of part(s), and is valid for one appliance only. Additional appliances are charged at our incremental labour rates.
- Repair(s) to issues upstream or downstream of the appliance are not covered by the Fixed Labour fee and will incur additional incremental labour charges. E.g poor installation of the appliance, installation work, gas lines modification etc.

On average most of our stove and oven repairs cost between $132 – $220 (this includes the fixed labour fee charge of $132 and part).
We accept payment by credit card(Amex, Mastercard or Visa) or cash.
Please note full payment is required upon completion. The technician may ask for an upfront payment of the Fixed Labour Fee and part(s) before completion if the repair requires two visits (e.g. a part needs to be ordered).

Our Fixed Labour charge is our minimum charge. The Fixed Labour rate may vary according to day and time of oven repair booking and type of oven requiring repair. The Fixed Labour Rate charge is applicable for all oven repairs.

Making a booking is easy and simple. There are 3 available options for our customers:
1) User our online booking system. Simply fill out the required details on our booking page and we will endeavour to return your inquiry as soon as possible.
2) Contact us directly on (03) 8566 7799
3) SMS a booking inquiry to 0423 128 819
Unless otherwise advised by a DBHL Service representative, the minimum charge (Fixed Labour Rate) is payable when our techician first visits the customer’s premise and diagnoses or repairs the oven.
Parts and materials are not included in the Fixed Labour rate. In addition, fault repairs downstream or upstream from the appliance itself, are not included in the Fixed Labour Service and are subject to additional charges.
In addition, appliance gas servicing or gas safety servicing is not part of the Fixed Labour Rate.
No. Parts and Materials are not part of the Fixed Labour Fee and will be charged as additional items.
The Fixed Labour Rate varies depending on the time and day of the booking made and the type of oven (e.g electric or gas). If we have to return on another day to complete the repair of the oven, the Fixed Labour Rate remains the same – provided that it is a similar timeframe/day as the original appointment.
The Fixed Labour rate is only payable once. You do not pay it again if we have to return with a part to complete the oven repair. Please feel free to contact us should you have any queries.
The Fixed Labour rate is our minimum charge. As we do not provide free quotes, the Fixed Labour Rate is the minimum payment applicable and due when visiting a customer’s premise for an oven repair.
Unfortunately, we do not fit parts supplied by customers.
The Fixed labour Rate is due if the part(s) is no longer available; and/or the customer is not proceeding with the repair; and/or the unit is not economical to repair.
Incremental labour charges only apply for repairs to additional appliances or repairs faults upstream or downstream from the appliance itself
- If the repair is not covered by the Fixed Labour Rate (such an additional appliance repair or repairs to pipes that are upstream or downstream from the appliance)
- Our labour is charged at $44 per 15 minutes
- Labour is calculated in 15 minute time blocks
